Panda Pornography (or Panda Porn) generally refers to pornographic movies created in order to achieve sexual arousal for Giant Pandas (Chinese: 大熊貓) (Ailuropoda melanoleuca), which in zoo conditions are generally lazy when it comes to mating, thus making their species in danger of extinction.

It became widely known when Zoologists in Thailand attempted to show Panda Pornography to panda bears in a Bangkok Zoo. ^[1],[2] Although researchers in Bangkok seem to believe in a successful mating due to usage of pornographic movies for animals, such success so far has not been achieved outside of China^[3], where 31 cubs were born during 10 months after commencement of the experiment.

The movies themselves show panda bears mating filmed by a camera inside the cage.

It is possible that the animals actually learn mating behaviors from the video; rather, scientists believe that hearing the associated sounds has a stimulating effect on the bears exposed to it.

Interestingly, pandas proved to be not affected by the popular drug Viagra.^[4]
