Summary

Description
English: Photograph of the wreckage of Union High School in Compton after an earthquake, March 10, 1933. In the foreground at left are the remains of a single-story building. Its walls are crumbling and its roof is badly damaged. There are large cinder blocks and other debris on the ground around the structure. In the background at center, a covered walkway has suffered the same fate as the building. The arches that line the walkway are still standing, but the roof has caved in. There is an unscathed, two-story building at right.
