This is a shrine on a street in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The four faces Buddha, each with a pair of hands offer help to people who cry out to him from all directions . The Conch Shell represents Wealth and Prosperity, The Position of Hand placed on the chest represents, offerings of Compassion, The Flying Discs represents the avoidance of disaster and calamities or to suppress evil. The Cita Mani ( a kind of fan used by monks for blessings ) represents the Buddha's Teaching and Faith. The Book in hand represents Knowledge, The Beads represents Controlling Karma, The Spear Stick represents Will Power, The Flower Vase represents Blessing of Water for Wishes, Each face signifies safety , fortune , blessing and compassion: Face of Wealth and Prosperity Face of Peace and Health Face of Protection Against Evil Face of Good Blessing |
