Classé depuis 1980, le pavillon est composé d'un seul niveau et possède quatre façades. Elles sont toutes caractérisées par des grandes baies rectangulaires et par des pilastres couronnés de chapiteau toscan (l'un des ordres de l'architecture antique, également détaillé ici). Les travées latérales de la façade principale sont aveugles, c'est-à-dire qu'elles ne sont pas ouvertes d'une baie. Remarquez les médaillons en terre cuite qui y sont placés, figurant des divinités païennes. L'enduit de couleur blanche, l'horizontalité du bâtiment (soulignée par les cordons prolongeant les linteaux et seuils des baies), la toiture mansardée, ainsi que les pilastres toscans et médaillons donnent au bâtiment une allure antiquisante et le placent dans une mouvance néoclassique Empire.Classé comme monument le 25 août 1980. They are all characterized by large rectangular bays and pilasters crowned with Tuscan capital (one of the orders of ancient architecture, also detailed here). The lateral bays of the main facade are blind, that is to say they are not open to a bay. Notice the terracotta medallions placed there, depicting pagan deities.
The white plaster, the horizontality of the building (underlined by the cords extending the lintels and thresholds of the bays), the mansard roof, and the Tuscan pilasters and medallions give the building an antique look and place it in a neoclassical movement Empire.
Nederlands: Empire paviljoen in Doornik —Grenzend aan het stadhuispark werd dit paviljoen gebouwd in het eerste derde deel van de 19e eeuw. In Empire-stijl bestaat het uit een hoge kelder in metselsteen en een enkele verdieping bedekt met een pleisterlaag. De hoofdgevel is open naar een grote rechthoekige baai die in drieën is verdeeld door zuilen met Toscaanse kapitelen. De dorpels, onder de drie ramen, zijn in honingraten gesneden. Aan de uiteinden vormen twee uitstekende baaien postiches met gespleten dorpels. Elk van deze baaien is versierd met twee Toscaanse pilasters en een medaillon met heidense goden. Drie rechtsdraaiende deuren, gesloten door de basis, waren oorspronkelijk bedoeld om onder dit niveau te openen.
De achtergevel is in veel opzichten vergelijkbaar, met uitzondering van de vervanging van de zuilen van de baai door pilasters. Het paviljoen wordt bekroond door een entablatuur met koorden, kroonlijst en zolder. Het mansardedak is bedekt met leisteen en wordt verlicht door een schildkapellenraam.
