English: Hon. Mark Rolle (1835–1907) of Stevenstone, St Giles in the Wood, Devon. He is shown with foxhounds of his own Stevenstone Hunt, apparently with a background of terraced estate cottages built by him in St Giles-in-the-Wood. Collection of Barnstaple Town Council. On display in Council Chamber, Guildhall, Barnstaple, North Devon. This is a very large painting which dominates the Council Chamber and all the other many portraits displayed in it. Mark Rolle held the honorary position of High Steward of Barnstaple.
