Animal characteristics: Head-Body Length: male: 220 cm, female: 180 cm; Weight: male: 275 kg, female: 91 kg; Identification: The Galapagos sea lion has a dark chestnut brown coloration; Habitat: Coasts and islands; Diet: Carnivore: fish, octopus, squid; Reproduction: Mating occurs a few days after females give birth to a single calf in May-January.
