Thiruvancheri kavu is located near Kuthuparamba, Kannur district,Kerala. It is one of the 13 Shakteya Temples in Kerala related to Kashmir Shaivism[1]. [2][3]
Kingdom of Kottayam rebuilt the temple 200 years ago after finding the destroyed remains. The deity is the family goddess of Pazhassi Raja of Kingdom of Kottayam.[4] [5]
The diety is Bhadrakali, Shiva, Saptha Mathrukkal, Ganapathy, Virabhadra, Kshetrapala. The temple architecture is Rurujith Vidhanam[6] in traditional Kerala temple architecture[7]
