• Strawberry Shortcake (voiced by Ana Sani) is the main protagonist of the series who is an optimistic, kind, energetic and friendly 11 (or 13)-year-old girl who wants to become the best baker ever in the Berryworks factory and all of Big Apple City and to also bake the world a better place. She is mostly friendly with everyone and is good friends with Orange Blossom, Lemon Meringue, Lime Chiffon, Blueberry Muffin and everyone else. But her only enemies throughout the show in its first season are Bread Pudding, Raspberry Tart and Sour Grapes, who despise her and are the ones who tried to have Strawberry get kicked out of the Berryworks because she's not a talented baker just like her family. But as of season two, the three of them are currently good friends with Strawberry too and are also reformed of their terrible and cruel actions that happened towards Strawberry throughout season one too. And since season two, Strawberry is also the leader of her and her friends' team, the Berry Besties and her new enemies throughout the show are the Purple Pieman (who's also the uncle of Sour Grapes) and Crabapple Jam (who's the new and current owner of the Berryworks factory) and her two associates who are also twins, Cheese Strudel and Cherry Streusel. She's the niece of her Aunt Praline and she also runs the baking food truck in the Berryworks, which is given to her as a gift by her aunt and also has a pet cat named Custard.
• Orange Blossom (voiced by Bahia Watson) is Strawberry's athletic best friend who is energetic and kind and loves sports and is a tomboy and she always helps Strawberry everytime whenever she needs help in her food truck or everything else that she needed for her baking business in the Berryworks too. She runs a smoothie stand in the Berryworks.
• Lemon Meringue (voiced by Andrea Libman) is another one of Strawberry's best friends who's a know-it-all and is also a tomboy like her friend, Orange and is also the best friend/partner of Lime Chiffon and she always helps Strawberry everytime whenever she needs help in her food truck or everything else that she needed for her baking business in the Berryworks too. She runs a lemonade-limeade truck with her best friend/partner, Lime Chiffon in the Berryworks and is also a professional mechanic who helps fix her friend, Strawberry's oven in her food truck whenever it catches a fire or accidentally explodes everytime and as heard in the show's second episode of the first season, "Lemon's Explosive Oven!" and also fixes everything else in the Berryworks.
• Lime Chiffon (voiced by Margaritta Valderrama) is another one of Strawberry's best friends who is sweet and kind and is also the best friend/partner of Lemon Meringue and she always helps Strawberry everytime whenever she needs help in her food truck or everything else that she needed for her baking business in the Berryworks too. She has two dads and she also runs a lemonade-limeade truck with her best friend/partner, Lemon Meringue in the Berryworks. And since at the end of season one, she's also good friends with Bread Pudding too.
• Blueberry Muffin (voiced by Diana Kaarina) is another one of Strawberry's best friends who is spirited, calm and kind and she always helps Strawberry everytime whenever she needs help in her food truck or everything else that she needed for her baking business in the Berryworks too. She has a spiritual mom and a younger brother and she also runs the ice cream shop in the Berryworks. And she also has a sibling rivalry with her younger brother at times and as he always tries to annoy her and her friends a lot and as she finds him very annoying and will often lash out at him whenever he gets on her nerves, but deep down she loves him nonetheless.
• Bread Pudding (voiced by Chirag Naik) is the main antagonist in the first season of the series-turned protagonist since in the second season of the series and is Strawberry's former arch-enemy-turned friend who is a serious and also arrogant, selfish, rude and very strict and disciplined boy who works as the coordinator/overseer of the Berryworks and is good friends with Raspberry Tart and Sour Grapes as they also work for him and is the one who wants and tries to have Strawberry to be kicked out of the Berryworks because she's not a talented baker just like her family. He always tries his best to be better than Strawberry at everything along with the help and assistance of his two friends, Raspberry and Sour who helps him in his schemes too, but always fails and as Strawberry always tells them that she's unbeatable. But at the end of season one and as of season two, he and alongside his two friends, Raspberry and Sour currently became good friends with Strawberry and are reformed and became much nicer than they're before and as they apologized to Strawberry for their wrongdoings towards her and are forgiven by her too. And Bread Pudding also became good friends with Lime Chiffon since at the end of season one and season two too. And as of season three, he still works at the Berryworks as the factory's main coordinator/overseer and is joined by two other coordinators/overseers who are twins and are also very strict just like him, Cheese Strudel and Cherry Streusel and he also works for the current and new owner of the Berryworks, Crabapple Jam too. He's also the son of the Berryworks' original owner, Figgy Pudding.
• Raspberry Tart (voiced by Tabitha St. Germain)
• Sour Grapes (voiced by Meg Roe)
• Huckleberry Pie (voiced by Vincent Tong) is another one of Strawberry's best friends who works as a street musician in the Big Apple City and loves playing his guitar and sing everytime and as he tries to get everyone in Big Apple City to tip him and to listen to his music, but it never works at times though. But besides that, he's a great musician to everyone and loves playing his guitar and also loves to sing good songs with his guitar to his good friends and especially Strawberry, who always tells him to never give up.
