Bisayo Busari-Akinnadeju is a Nigerian lawyer, politician and humanitarian.[1][2]
Early life and education
[edit]Bisayo was born in Akungba Akoko, Ondo State. She had her primary education at Fanibi Community primary school Akure and attended Fiwasaye Girls Grammar School, Akure.[3] She obtained a Bachelor of Laws LLB (Hons) with from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She later completed her Barrister at Law (B.L) at The Nigerian Law School, Enugu, Nigeria. In addition to her legal qualifications, she holds a Master of Law in International Commercial & Corporation Law from King's College London (LLM-2023) and a Master of Business Administration at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School.
Professional career
[edit]Bisayo has held various key positions in notable organizations. She currently serves as the Company Secretary and Legal Advisor on the Board of All Grace Energy Ltd, the Operator of Ubima Marginal Field in OML 17.[4]
Advocacy and humanitarian work
[edit]Bisayo is the founder of Project One,[5] an initiative focused on providing political education, citizen appreciation, and mentorship for Nigerian youths and convener of the annual “I am a Nigerian” Conference.[6][7] She organizes conferences, seminars, and other events to promote leadership, peacekeeping, and nation-building activities.[8] She is also the founder of BBLEGAL, a platform that offers legal advisory, consultancy, and policy formulation services.[9]
Awards and recognitions
[edit]Bisayo has been recognised as one of the most influential Nigerian youths. She was ranked among the "100 Most Influential Young Nigerians" in both 2018 and 2019.[10] Furthermore, she received a nomination in the "101 Most Impactful Nigerian Women" between 2015 and 2023.[11] She was also a finalist for the ‘Active Citizens Award’ by Budgit.[12]
