Right now, there are more than five times as many biographies of men as there are of women on wikipedia - see the [http://whgi.wmflabs.org/gender-by-language.html Wikidata Human Gender Indicators] page. I hope this project will lend its support to addressing this imbalance by creating biographies for women within your project's scope, and perhaps by adopting the Dictionary of Virginia Biography redlist. More generally, [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red|WikiProject Women in Red]] has more than 300 redlists covering perhaps 100,000 notable women for whom we have no biography. thanks

While viewing Colorado in Google Earth Pro I noticed if you click on Sterling Colorado an article about Sterling Virginia appears with information about VA not CO. The article about VA has the correct GPS cords in the article but it's showing up in CO when you are looking in Google Earth Pro.

== Random in category ==

I run the [[:toolforge:Randomincategory]] tool, and I've noticed in my error logs that there are lots of people linking to the tool with Virginia-related categories that are using the invalid parameter "namespace=article" (the namespace parameter is looking for a namespace number, not a namespace name -- if you want to view only articles you should use <code>namespace=0</code>). The categories being searched are [[:Category:Virginia]], [[:Category:Geography_of_Virginia]], [[:Category:People_from_Virginia]], [[:Category:Landmarks_in_Virginia]], etc., which made me think it might be related to this WikiProject. The link would look something like <code><nowiki>https://randomincategory.toolforge.org/Virginia?site=en.wikipedia.org&namespace=article</nowiki></code>, <code><nowiki>[[:toolforge:randomincategory/Virginia?site=en.wikipedia.org&namespace=article]]</nowiki></code>, or {{tlx|1=random page in category|2=Virginia|3=ns=article}}. Does anyone know where this is being used so that it can be fixed?
Thanks, and happy editing!

== Article Critique ==

In response to the article about Ellwood Manor, the layout and overall coverage of the topic is great. After visiting Ellwood Manor once before, I can say that the article does a fantastic job covering the history and the current status of the site. While the information is written eloquently and factually, the first section lacked a single citation. Other than that, the article is very informative and a good representation of Ellwood Manor. I have made several recent contributions and note that it previously had more material than several other articles rated start-class "[state] congressional districts”. I have promoted the article to B-class; it takes two other editors to promote an article to A-class. Further comments and contributions are welcome. This WikiProject aligns closely with the work of the GLAM-Wiki initiative (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums), a global community of volunteers who assist cultural institutions with sharing resources with Wikimedia. GLAM-Wiki US is a new community initiative focused on organizing cultural collaborations within the United States. GLAM organizations are diverse and span numerous topics, from libraries and art museums to science centers and historic sites. We currently have a backlog of interested institutions- and we need your help!
