Some of the information I gathered for these pages was from the Korean websites I translated using Google Translate. I need to know if I properly translated them right. I also need help with the way I put citations on these pages. I also need more information, references, and citations for the Japanese Occupation of Gyeongbokgung Palace article. Ten Asia Global Top Ten Awards

I don't think this is a notable award, but it's all over tons of articles, with most noms sourced either directly to TenAsia (website/twt acc) or really low quality secondary sources (e.g. 1, 2, 3 pulled from the Enhypen awards page). Has anyone come across actual acceptable coverage from reliable secondary sources to justify keeping this, because I haven't, and if not, then another encyclopedia-wide removal is in order. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 19:44, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I did a search on Naver News, and most of the results are from TenAsia itself. (I was briefly tricked by this 2018 article from The Korea Economic Daily, but turns out it's owned by the same company as TenAsia, and the article is reposted from TenAsia. Thought this could be helpful to know if you come across similar sources.) As far as I can tell, there are virtually no reliable secondary sources in Korean that establish the significance of this award. Lenoresm (talk) 00:13, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your comment. I hope a few more editors chime in because I'd feel more comfortable with a consensus of at least 3-5 persons. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 02:39, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I also went through Naver but like 99% of the results are from either TenAsia itself or Hankyung (so, same thing). I could find 10 articles from other websites and 9 were almost identical, mentioning how Ticketbay (Korea's largest ticket brokerage platform) was officially selling voting rights for the awards. There was only one article from 2018 announcing the creation of the award. And reading about it it doesn't really sound notable at all.. it's from a specific media outlet that only involves 10 countries. There are a lot of 'awards' like that (money grabbers basically) which also serve as bragging material for fans. I don't see a difference between that and adding poll results from websites that masquerade as legitimate awards (you know the ones that pop up on twitter among solo fanbases). - Ïvana (talk) 03:49, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I just completed removing 18 instances of the TGTTAs (including the one mentioned above), as per a wikipedia search for the awards name, and linked this discussion in my edit summaries. If there are any entries elsewhere that I have somehow missed, please lmk or remove them when you see them. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 05:00, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, i just saw that the Ten Asia Global Top Ten Awards in Enhypen awards section was removed, and my question is: all the awards section from other groups who had TTA Awards also follow the same criteria? because i just saw a couple of them and I only see 1 Naver or Hankyung source, and no secondary sources. If the Enhypen awards section would be corrected following the criteria previously mentioned, made it to all the k-pop articles who had the same awards in their lists. Thanks Aldebaran69 (talk) 00:47, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Aldebaran69: Like Carlobunnie said, the removal is a work in progress. If you see any article where the awards are being mentioned you're free to remove them yourself, or link the articles here so someone else can do it. - Ïvana (talk) 15:33, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Chung Chun Rice Dog

Could any editors try to update Chung Chun Rice Dog with details about the restaurant chain's origins in Seoul (and possibly other operations in Korea)? I'm struggling to find much info via Google and was hoping someone might be willing to update the entry based on Korean-language sources. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 02:21, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please feel free to add the Korean name to this article if you can. Thank you! Dr. Vogel (talk) 10:20, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Assistance with GAN review

Hi all. I am conducting a GAN review of Love or Loved Part.1, but I don't read Korean and need some help spot checking some of the cites to Korean sources. @Ca already spot checked a couple of cites, but I wouldn't feel comfortable passing this GA until 7 or 8 more cites are spot checked. Is anyone able to help out? Thanks, voorts (talk/contributions) 23:16, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I listed all the Korean article sources for what was questionable and what was reliable. Hope it helps! Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️ 01:30, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Geography and climate

Currently Geography of South Korea includes climate, however the coverage seems deficient and does not have relevant topics such as the 2023 South Korea floods. Note that some countries have separate articles on Wikipedia for geography and climate but others have them combined like South Korea. There is a discussion on the talk page at Geography of South Korea#Split climate from geography for anyone who might be interested. - Indefensible (talk) 07:10, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
