I think that I am relatively comfortable at editing Wikipedia and I know the foundation of a quality article; for example, I created Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Wrecking Ball and got it up to GA status. Drafts seem like a fun way to interact with others and teach the foundations of editing.

I also have the experience of creating articles that didn't pass deletion review but also many that made the cut, often with improvements made as a result of the review process.
