I requested AfC permission a while back, and was told to try gaining more experience with deletion. Since then, I have participated in quite a few AfD discussions, where I complete a thorough investigation of every article before voting. I have vastly improved my understanding of the notability guidelines and have had a lot of practice finding sources (through both TWL and my school resources). So, I requested access sometime in January, and now, I have a significantly better understanding of the citation quality guidelines, the notability guideline and the BLP guideline - most of which comes from anti-vandalism work - however, I would like to try to clear the (4000ish) AfC backlog, because there is a ton of content in there, some of which needs declining as it is promotional, some of them need high quality citations (e.g a reputable news source), some of them are good and need accepting but are waiting for the backlog to clear. I believe I have some amount of experience which will help me in dealing with the notability guidelines as my creation are tagged for deletion for which editor, reviewer and even admins has provided me warning, suggestions, guidance. Last year, I was block for copyvio, you can check my talk since then I always try to make myself reminded that I won't repeat the mistake for which I am blocked.
