Wicko [ˈvit͡skɔ] (German: Vietzig)[1] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Międzyzdroje, within Kamień County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland.[2] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south of Międzyzdroje, 25 km (16 mi) west of Kamień Pomorski, and 54 km (34 mi) north of the regional capital Szczecin.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement.
