== Behavioral problem ==

This is a behavioral problem. Not merely a one-article problem. So I raise it here. You made an error. It was undone. You then re-introduced your error. Here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=USS_Laboon&diff=prev&oldid=1192422387

That is poor form. And not proper collegial editing. Please fix the error you have now re-introduced. I'm not sure how you think it is proper to do that. And then use tools to template. It's not. If you disagree, let's speak with an admin who give out tools. I believe I am correct, but we could let them opine. Guideline and policy news

  • Following a talk page discussion, the Administrators' accountability policy has been updated to note that while it is considered best practice for administrators to have notifications (pings) enabled, this is not mandatory. Administrators who do not use notifications are now strongly encouraged to indicate this on their user page.

Arbitration

  • Following a motion, the Extended Confirmed Restriction has been amended, removing the allowance for non-extended-confirmed editors to post constructive comments on the "Talk:" namespace. Now, non-extended-confirmed editors may use the "Talk:" namespace solely to make edit requests related to articles within the topic area, provided that their actions are not disruptive.
  • The Arbitration Committee has announced a call for Checkusers and Oversighters, stating that it will currently be accepting applications for CheckUser and/or Oversight permissions at any point in the year.
  • Eligible users are invited to vote on candidates for the Arbitration Committee until 23:59 December 11, 2023 (UTC). Candidate statements can be seen here.

UAA

Thanks for the report but "Murray Hewitt NZ Consulate" is not a username policy violation. WP:ISU carves out an exception, "usernames are acceptable if they contain a company or group name but are clearly intended to denote an individual person, such as "Mark at WidgetFactory", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", "WidgetFan87", etc."

If Murray Hewitt were the consul and there existed an article about him then it might be an impersonation issue. But Hewitt appears to be a fictional character in a TV series. As it stands, there's no problem.

Hope that helps, Cabayi (talk) 09:51, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Cabayi: Thanks for the note. I just went by the "nutshell" message, so I'll try to remember this if I go to UAA again (I don't go very often). This also helps with another item; their name. Depending on how this turned out, I was going to mention that they might not want to use their (real) name and org as it could create a privacy issue for them. But, if they're using a nom de guerre, then it's not an issue. Thanks again - wolf 10:01, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
