== Khomeini on OTD ==

Hi, you added [[Ruhollah Khomeini]] to [[Wikipedia:Selected anniversaries/October 6]], but his article is already included as an observance on [[Wikipedia:Selected anniversaries/June 4|June 4]]. Per [[WP:OTDRULES|the rules]], articles may only be featured once a year, so you have to pick a day for him. He can't be on both days. Thanks. <span style="font-family:Verdana; ">—'''[[User:Howcheng|<span style="color:#33C;">howcheng</span>]]''' <small>{[[User talk:Howcheng|chat]]}</small></span> 22:28, 4 October 2018 (UTC)

== Can anything be done about this RfC? ==

Hello Saff V. Since I had to close an edit warring complaint about [[People's Mujahedin of Iran]] recently, I've been looking at RfCs on the talk page to see how far they got. Check out [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:People%27s_Mujahedin_of_Iran#RFC:_Should_the_word_'violent'_get_removed_from_the_lead? this RfC about 'violent' that you opened on 14 October]. The comments so far suggest a slight inclination to remove 'violent', but there is no activity on this RfC since 16 October. If you don't think anyone else will comment, do you want to propose that this get closed by an uninvolved person, for instance at [[WP:AN/RFC]]? But if some movement is still possible, can you propose a more targeted rewording that would enlist support from the other side? Thanks, [[User:EdJohnston|EdJohnston]] ([[User talk:EdJohnston|talk]]) 16:34, 24 October 2018 (UTC)

:{{ping|EdJohnston}}, I really appreciate you for helping me to solve the issue and apologize for the delay in response. Would you explaine about " a more targeted rewording that would enlist support from the other side " and how should I conduct it? Regards.[[User:Saff V.|Saff V.]] ([[User talk:Saff V.#top|talk]]) 07:25, 12 November 2018 (UTC)

==[[Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion|Speedy deletion]] nomination of [[:Military operations of the Iran–Iraq War]]==
[[Image:Copyright-problem.svg|48px|left|alt=|link=]]
{{Quote box|quote=<p>If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read [[WP:Your first article|the guide to writing your first article]].</p><p>You may want to consider using the [[Wikipedia:Article wizard|Article Wizard]] to help you create articles.</p>|width=20%|align=right}}
A tag has been placed on [[:Military operations of the Iran–Iraq War]] requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under [[WP:CSD#G12|section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion]], because the page appears to be an unambiguous [[Wikipedia:Copyright violations|copyright infringement]]. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://eubuy.us/wordpress/blog/?m=201405. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of ''information'', but not as a source of ''sentences''. This part is crucial: ''say it in your own words''. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators '''will be [[Wikipedia:Blocking policy|blocked from editing]]'''.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you ''must'' verify that externally by one of the processes explained at [[Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials]]. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see [[Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission]] for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at [[Wikipedia:Copyrights|Wikipedia's copyright policy]] for more details, or ask a question [[Wikipedia:Help desk|here]].

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by [[:Military operations of the Iran–Iraq War|visiting the page]] and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with [[Wikipedia:List of policies|Wikipedia's policies and guidelines]]. <!-- Template:Db-copyvio-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> [[User:ShunDream|ShunDream]] ([[User talk:ShunDream|talk]]) 12:52, 17 November 2018 (UTC)

== Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution ==

[[Image:Information.svg|25px|alt=Information icon]] Thank you for [[Special:Contributions/Saff V.|your contributions]] to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from [[:Iran–Iraq War]] into [[:Military operations of the Iran–Iraq War]]. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, [[WP:Copyrights|Wikipedia's licensing]] does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an [[Help:Edit summary|edit summary]] at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and [[Help:Link#Wikilinks|linking]] to the copied page, e.g., <code>copied content from <nowiki>[[page name]]</nowiki>; see that page's history for attribution</code>. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{tl|copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at [[Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia]]. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-copying --> If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. If you had followed this step, the new article would likely not have been nominated for deletion either. — [[User:Diannaa|Diannaa]]&nbsp;<span style="color:red">🍁</span>&nbsp;([[User talk:Diannaa|talk]]) 18:01, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
