Ciao RickK, Esseye here. Okay, I won't create a how-to article, but there is still a plenty-good article that can be created without being how-to. I recognize that Marley's album has a right to an article in its own right (sorry for repeat) but chances are there are lots of aspiring SIs or people just plain interested in the subject who figured Wiki would be a great resource (just like I did) and were/are very disappointed to find only Marley info. The conventional term used among survivors is survival, not "surviving" or "survival techniques". Survival is a massive topic, and I know very little about technical writing. With my raw material and your guidance I think we could make an excellent article. I don't know all aspects of this site yet so I don't know how soon you'll read this, but you should be able to email me through the site. Good luck, and good hunting. I guess I should "sign" this. And I've had a brief glance over the GNU and copyleft pages, and while I can't say I agree with some of it, I will try to abide by them from now on and look over them in more detail when I have time. Okay? --Esseye 08:42, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Besides, RickK, please don't block me just like that, you scared me! Please, let's discuss matters over first, O.k.? We'll just be friends, alright? - Hil

Even when I'm being nice, I'm attacked, so why should I even bother? RickK 22:45, Mar 17, 2005 (UTC)

I don't know. Why let it bother you at all? -- AllyUnion (talk) 06:08, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Any idea why I can't block this user?

Rick, I tried a few hours ago, and again just now, to block User:I'll suck anything but wasn't able to. I get a message saying "Error: could not submit form." I see from the block log that other blocks are working. I haven't tried blocking anyone else today, so I don't know if it is a problem with the username or if I simply can't block today. Any idea what the problem might be? SWAdair | Talk 07:26, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

  • I'm using the same procedure I've always used -- quicklink from my user page to Special:Blockip, fill in the blanks, and click "Block this user." Sure, it says block IP, but it works (or at least worked in the past) for usernames as well. Oh, and I don't add "User:" at the beginning -- I happened to see the block log once when someone else did that, and figured out what happened. I'm going to try blocking myself for one minute as a test, to see if I can block at all. It appears I can't block this user, though. If you don't mind... Thank you. SWAdair | Talk 07:35, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)
    • I see you blocked him. Thanks. I couldn't block myself. "Error: could not submit form." Hmm... SWAdair | Talk 07:39, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)
      • In about an hour I'll be at another computer. I'll try again from there just to be sure it isn't a local problem. If it isn't, then I'll mention it there. Thank you for your time. SWAdair | Talk 07:47, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I was able to block myself from a Kinko's computer. It must be a local problem. Same computer, same network as always, but a new quirk. I'm just glad the problem is local. SWAdair | Talk 03:45, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Hi Rick. I am writing an article in tandom with another article all about Texas history and in particular about the governments that have ruled Texas. I am not writing about theme parks, etc. The article that I am creating is unique and not a duplication of text because it relates to geo-politics not fun and entertainment. The other article that I am writing links to this subject and it deals with a land patent granted prior to that for the Carolinas, but including and predating that to that claim. I know all about the theme park, its company and history from first hand observation, but that has nothing whatsoever to do with what I am writing about. I will be adding more detailed information in the coming days about the missing flags that have been known to fly over Texas (and I will be documenting sources.) MPLX/MH 07:42, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Bart McQueary

OK, come on, how long is the NPOV going to remain on his page? And why was it really even put there in the first place-- just because of the use of the word "acolyte"? I think that it's been sufficiently shown that McQueary IS an acolyte of Phelps; if you do some independant research, you would see that (you claimed that their political ideologies were different, when in fact most of what McQueary says in relation to politics is parroted from Phelps). I doubt that it's one of the most visited pages on Wiki, but anyone who's been looking at it as of late has been given the impression that it's biased. And I'm still waiting for the "other user" to acknowledge the threats he made against me.70.242.15.36 01:44, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Why did you revert my user page?

You know darn well that .94 is acknowledged as Rex by various admins. Personally, I am pretty sure you know that. 216.153.214.94 05:03, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)
