RE: Request for help translating

Hello, I have received your request for help translating the True Christian Church article into Khmer. I will do what I can, but I am having trouble inputting Khmer text with my new computer (English localized Windows XP and IE6).--WilliamThweatt 15:38, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Requested Translation on True Jesus Church

This is your Requested Translation - Pasting in here does not preserve all Yoruba diatrical marks. The Word document is better and can be sent to your email address if you contact me at fb_civic@yahoo.com

______________________________________________________________ True Jesus Church

The True Jesus Church is a non-denominational (independent) church that was established in Beijing, China in 1917. The church is a Chinese offshoot of the Pentecostal branch of Christianity that emerged during the early 1900s.

The church also adheres to Oneness Pentecostal theology (Jesus-Name doctrine). They believe in the one God, and the complete and full deity of Jesus Christ. They explicitly reject the doctrine of the Holy Trinity as an inadequate and inaccurate description of God. The Trinitarian doctrine of God was not derived from the Scriptures alone but also on post-biblical stream of teachings (decisions and creeds of historic Christian Councils), which Oneness adherents consider to be merely the opinions of men, not inspired or infallible as the Bible.

Although still regarded as a Chinese church, the True Jesus Church is becoming increasingly globalized today as the gospel of Jesus is preached in countries all over the world. There are approximately 1.6 million believers in six continents.

Translation into Farsi

Hi Jose,

Is this part of a wiki article in English wiki? I'll do that if it is.

However you should note that some of these words are very difficult to translate or they may not have an exact equivalant in Farsi (as you mentioned most people are muslims so words relating to Christianity are not used much).

Just for my personal curiosity, can I ask why do you want this in Farsi?

Masoud--Mahanchian 15:42, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. I found a translation in Farsi: fa:کلیسای حقیقی عیسی, but it needs clean up and wikification which I'll do as soon as I can. --Mahanchian 15:55, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Poipet school of leaders

Dear friend, I am working with 18 Khmer students in the Don Bosco School of Leaders in Poipet, Banteay Meanchey Province. Now I am trying they get use to the Unicode and contribute to the khmer wikipedia. It is becoming for them a great place to show their own culture and make the wikipedia possible for Khmer speakers. For this reason we are proposing also to make a first meeting of Khmer wikipedians. In the school of leaders they learn computers, English, social work and social communication. User:Alsamnang

Hello from Isfara

Dear Sir,

Thank you so much for your welcome to Wikipedia! I will try to help with translation, but still I am learning how to contribute to Wikipedia. As you may see I have submitted some articles and of course hope to contribute more.

With many thanks,

Ibrahim

Tajik

Hey man, I see you are active on the Tajik Wikipedia, I also notice there are some new users recently, did you have anything to do with this? Any chance of getting them to help translate the interface. I'm an admin over there, so if you just get them to give me the English with Tajik I can change it:

e.g. "Discussion" --> "мубоҳисавии", "edit this page" --> TAJIK, "history" --> TAJIK etc. :)

Thanks, I also have an experimental Farsi --> Tajik transliterator that you can find here: [1] - FrancisTyers · 20:09, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
