To reply of your translation request in bnwiki

Hello, you made a translation request on my talk page. Here is my response.

(en) 'The church aims to preach the gospel to all nations before the second coming of Jesus'

(bn) 'যীশুর দ্বিতীয় উত্থানের পূর্বে সকল রাষ্ট্রে যীশুর শিক্ষা পৌছে দেওয়াই হচ্ছে চার্চের লক্ষ্য'

A couple of railway station articles I need translated into English

Jose77, there are a couple of articles on railway stations that need to be translated soon because the Chinese versions of those articles have a lot more coverage than the English versions do:

For example, there is detailed information on the older Tianjin station that formerly stood on the site of the current Tianjin station. I thought I could ask you to do this job because I saw your name on the List of available translators (you were actually listed as "Joseph") and you could edit in near-native Chinese (simplified and traditional) and native English. Can you or any other available Chinese-to-English translator do this job? Jim856796 (talk) 03:43, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I will try my best to help you expand those two articles. --Jose77 (talk) 04:03, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Done The Beijing Railway Station has been expanded by one thousand two hundred and fifty words from previously.
Done The Tianjin Railway Station has also been expanded by one thousand one hundred and eleven words from previously --Jose77 (talk) 07:42, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vera Ecclesia

Yeah, machine translation is often bad, you would not believe how bad it is for Latin! What program did you use? Anyway, I'd love to help, but I'm going to be traveling internationally for the next couple weeks. You may feel free to contact me again in Novermber. But in any case, the language style we want here will be Church Latin, so—even if it seems wrong—you may want to consult someone who writes a lot about Catholicism. --Iustinus (talk) 03:24, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Potentially quick translation?

Joseph, thank you for making yourself available for requests, it looks like you keep busy. We have a Chinese source at Longevity claims#Living person claims that is used to document several people who say they are over age 117: [1]. It appears that WP does not encourage requests for translation of outside sources, but in this case we only need verification of the tabular data that appears in the article, not a full translation. That is, for each of the 8-10 people mentioned, I just want to verify the name (best transliteration), gender, stated birthdate, and country of residence; it is also very important to know the exact date the article was written, if that appears at the link or anywhere nearby, due to the probability of some of these persons dying in the interim. You can reply here, go to article talk, or just edit the article if you like. I really appreciate whatever you can do for this project! JJB 05:38, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

No problem, here it is:

That is excellent, thank you! Now I'm a detail type so let me confirm: (1) Please check my changes here; are they accurate? (2) Nos. 9-10 do not have exact birthdays anywhere in the article, correct? (3) Is it correct to presume No. 3 resides in China, but without any further geography stated? (4) Looking at the photos, are the genders from 1 to 10 "M M F M F M M M F F"? (5) I could infer from the date-age combinations of Nos. 6-7 that the article was written between August 16th and October 15th, 2009; do we have any indication of more exact specific date for the article? (6) The WP article, instead of Nos. 6-10, has 3 names, Soft-Tzu, Ren Zhen, Kashi Wood. Are these probably machine transliterations of Nos. 6-8 in the Xilele article? Please answer all questions, and thank you again! JJB 02:05, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
