Your request for Translation

Hello Jose, it's done. --GnuDoyng (talk) 08:51, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jose, my article Shen-kuang-szu Incident was tagged with {{copyedit}} by someone and his explanations were given in my talk page. To be honest I don't know how to improve it since English is not my first language and I can't really tell bad grammar from good. Can you please help me correct the grammar mistakes in it? Thanks in advance. --GnuDoyng (talk) 09:03, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done The grammar has been fixed into proper English. --Jose77 (talk) 06:07, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Translation request

Dear Sir (Ninhao)!

I am Schmiddtchen from the German Wikipedia.

I've come across a word which could or could not be chinese and I'd like to grasp it - but my humble language skills fail me in verifying it. Unfortunately, the german wikipedia lacks active native chinese speakers (or they do not label themselves as such). I've found you via your Babel category and have come to you hopeing that you can help me with this. I'd be very grateful if you could take a look at my question - many many thanks in advance!

The word I've stumbled across on a taiwanese domain is "geqoo" - exactly like that, written in Latin chars. Now I've tried looking it up by transcribing it into pinyin but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right:

What I've come across is two things: 歌曲 (gēqǔ) - "song" and as a part: 各取所需 (gèqǔsuǒxū) - "everyone takes what he needs". Is this correct? What do you (as a native speaker) think of when you see "Geqoo" - do you think of "song"? Or of the first part of that small sentence? Or of something completely different?

It would be very very nice if you could give me an answer either here or on my talk page on the German Wikipedia.

Many thanks again and have a good day, --Schmiddtchen (talk) 08:20, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
