Hi there. You've marked the photo I uploaded of Dave Holmes for deletion. I'm not sure what more I can do to verify permission to publish. I produce Dave's podcast "International Waters"^[1] It's a photo he had taken for promotional purposes and he says he's happy for it to be used here with the photographer credited. I can take a different photo of him when we record next week, but it seems a shame not to use the professional one taken for these purposes. If you have the copyright holder's permission to do so you could put a statement on the source website stating that the photo is licenced under the Creative Commons attribution 3.0 licence (the licence selected when the image was uploaded) or another licence from the list at Wikipedia:File copyright tags/Free licenses. Please be aware though before you do this that this will allow anyone, not just Wikipedia, to use or modify the image for any purpose including for commercial purposes (permission for Wikipedia use only is not sufficient), and the licence cannot later be revoked. @Mr colin anderson: Sorry but we don't accept the non-commercial/no derivatives version of the CC licence, these restrictions are not compatible with a free licence (please see [2] for background/explanation on why we don't accept these restrictions).
