The SPI states that it is more for meatpuppetry than sock puppetry, as it appears you were recruited to a discussion. The block reason I see says Abusing multiple accounts, but ok. I don't have any particular edits in mind to do on Wikipedia if that's what you're asking. I was just signing in again after seeing the Wikipedia donation appeals and thinking of trying to figure it out again and then saw I was blocked. I hope I am doing this right since I can't reply. I don't remember how I found a discussion on a topic I know well four years ago, but chances are someone in the FinCon group mentioned it. Here is everything I remember about my participation on Wikipedia: I signed up, tried to figure out how to use it, failed and got discouraged. I came back after a long time, was happy I figured out how to add a link about a conference I've attended many times, came back and saw it was deleted and got discouraged. I came back after a long time, found out I was blocked years ago, and got even more discouraged. But I tried to get unblocked because I don't see how I ever had multiple accounts and wanted to try contributing. Then I was told no, that's not it, your some kind of puppet, your request is denied. So I explained again and answered the question that was asked. And again, denied. At this point I really just want to have my account deleted. But...turns out I can't do that either. Because I'm blocked. This is really not a welcoming community. If it is possible for you to delete my account, please do that. Or at the very least please remove my personally identifying information that I no longer want on the internet. And in case that isn't a clear enough answer, no I do not intend to participate in deletion discussions. Unless you're talking about deleting my account. OK, let me explain why your account was blocked in more detail. That deletion discussion was visited by numerous new accounts, none of whom seemed to be conversant with our content policies, all making pretty-much identical arguments. That kind of thing normally happens because of what we call off-wiki canvassing, and it's disruptive. It sounds like you're saying that's what happened - someone in the FinCon group (i.e. someone with a conflict of interest) mentioned it to you. Typically, all the accounts involved get blocked to stop the disruption. Moving onto your request, I'd actually be happy to unblock your account, if you were to agree to stay away from the FinCon subject area; however, this isn't really an unblock request - you're asking to have your account deleted. That isn't technically possible I'm afraid - accounts cannot be deleted. You haven't been clear about what personally identifying information it is that you want to have deleted - I don't see anything of that nature in your contributions, but I would be happy to delete that for you if you would be specific about what it is.
