== No reason to bypass the redirects ==

Hello,<br />
I have noticed ''[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jim_Henson&diff=790109075&oldid=790064606 this modification]''. This is not compliant with several guidelines, see [[WP:NOTBROKEN]] and [[WP:SPECIFICLINK]]. They explain that redirects should be kept. In your modification, the previous link <nowiki>[[Emmy Awards]] was better than [[Emmy Award]]</nowiki> because it was more precise. Moreover, if <nowiki>[[Emmy Awards]]</nowiki> becomes an article about the Emmy ceremonies, the previous link would be OK whereas your new link would have to be corrected.<br />
Several people have already mentioned redirects in your talk page. These guidelines reflect [[Wikipedia:Consensus|consensus]]. Do you intent to go to [[Wikipedia talk:Redirect]] to change the guidelines?<br />

Redirects

May I ask why you keep ignoring WP:NOTBROKEN and MOS:NOPIPE (the latter of which is a guideline and part of the Manual of Style) in the "Pilot (Body of Proof)" article? - JuneGloom07 Talk 00:55, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you continue to ignore WP:NOTBROKEN, also WP:SPECIFICLINK; therefore, Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 11:41, 19 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop violating WP:NOTBROKEN. —Granger (talk · contribs) 01:22, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. No reason to bypass the redirects

Hello,
I have noticed this modification. This is not compliant with several guidelines, see WP:NOTBROKEN and WP:SPECIFICLINK. They explain that redirects should be kept. In your modification, the previous link [[Emmy Awards]] was better than [[Emmy Award]] because it was more precise. Moreover, if [[Emmy Awards]] becomes an article about the Emmy ceremonies, the previous link would be OK whereas your new link would have to be corrected.
Several people have already mentioned redirects in your talk page. These guidelines reflect consensus. Do you intent to go to Wikipedia talk:Redirect to change the guidelines?
