I'm making a request for my IP to unblocked so I can discuss my unfortunate recent activities with other editors and contribute to the FAC of William H. Prescott. Please feel free to monitor my edits or refuse the unblock request. Claritas § 17:07, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
{{unblock reviewed|1=They're my alternate accounts, I admit it. With over 6000 edits, though, I think it would be preferable if I could have a reasoned dialogue outside this page. There was no consensus at the WP:ANI discussion to block me (). Please reconsider. I'm not saying that a block will not eventually be appropriate, but I'd prefer to participate in the discussion concerning it. As no-one is willing to unblock me (a serious and experienced editor), simply to allow me to engage in debate - Goodbye. You can close the FAC for William H. Prescott, as I'll be unable to finish my work on the article while blocked. Please cut the sentence from my userpage about him, or you can simply delete it per my wish expressed here. Sorry for the trouble I've caused (I've given a fully explanation by e-mail to an admin). If anyone wants to contact me, just use the "e-mail this user" function. I think I simply don't fit in with the Wikipedia community, and I've got more important things to do with my life than to argue and be disruptive on a free internet resource. I'd prefer it if you didn't replace my user page with a "this user abused multiple accounts" template, but as it's perfectly true, you may well do. Wikipedia is run badly - it is uncontrolled yet overly bureaucratic, it panders after neutrality without recognizing the inherent flaws in its definition of verifiability. There is a lack of authority, a concentration of power among a group of individuals who have no collective intelligence or expertise. Maybe, one day, Wikipedia will have changed. If so, I'll be happy to accept the standard offer from anyone who cares to offer. I've tried to sort out what I perceive to be issues with Wikipedia, without any form of success. I've disrupted the project in a sophisticated manner, but not in a way that will have any lasting effect. I've written some articles, which people will read and learn from. Jclemens, you think that it's inevitable that people who have strong positions will resort to disruption. Maybe you're right. Goodbye

Claritas § 20:46, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
