First of all, I'm flattered that someone would think I'm important enough for my own Wikipedia article. But I hope you understand if I personally disagree. Dụng does too. Plenty of people who have Wikipedia articles about themselves are either embarrassed or offended by them, and sometimes they even sue the Foundation for it. But as we all know, none of that matters, because Wikipedia shouldn't care whether someone is comfortable being included in the encyclopedia. All that matters is whether the person deserves to be included and the article is well-written. So please don't take Dụng's opposition to the article personally. Rest assured, we're still on good terms with each other. <code>:^)</code>

As I look at Google's cached copy of the article, the key takeaway is that I contributed significantly to the Vietnamese Wikipedia. The rest is incidental: every biography needs this kind of information, but it doesn't justify the article any further. Since an article can always be written about me in the future if necessary, I would just ask you to consider whether the key information is so important or lengthy that it couldn't possibly fit in "Vietnamese Wikipedia", where the additional context would help a layperson understand my contributions better. For now at least.

I also happen to believe that the English Wikipedia has too many articles on amateur athletes, startup founders, and local politicians, but the issue is too broad to tie to a single article. If you find it unfair that other relatively obscure people get their 15 column inches of fame, it may be more effective to argue your case more generally at Wikipedia talk:Notability (people).

Don't let the article deletion process discourage you. The administrators and other volunteers there deal with a lot of people and articles with questionable intentions, but I know you mean well. Perhaps you could try the approach I've suggested: fold it into "Vietnamese Wikipedia". Later, if the information outgrows that article, the community might even ask you to split it into a separate article. In the meantime, you might find more satisfaction writing about other topics. The important thing is the knowledge, not the article count.

Hello to everyone!

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nguyễn Xuân Minh (wikipedian) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. — Bill william comptonTalk 02:46, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

accusation of discrimination

No, that is not what I was saying at all. Please learn to read English before you accuse people of discrimination. Yoenit (talk) 21:16, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
