Footy infobox
Hi, this is just to let you know that the agreed WikiProject Football standard is not to italicize the word 'loan' in football player infoboxes (as you did with James O'Connor (footballer)). The standard is there to give a consistent look to player articles. If you disagree with the standard layout, please feel free to discuss at WikiProject Football. Cheers. --Jameboy (talk) 18:58, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
:Please can I just re-iterate the above. The word loan in footballer infoboxes does not go in italics. There would seem little point in the project having a standard if some follow it and some don't. As I said, if you think the standard can be improved, please discuss at WikiProject Football. Thanks. --Jameboy (talk) 13:53, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

Changes in Football Team articles

Hi Simon, I noticed that you have been making changes to different Football team articles by mainly increasing goal counts. An example you can find it here. Where are you getting this information from? Do you have sources? Just checking. :) Thanks. Gadig 18:56, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Squad Box Template

Hi there, I saw your question about squad box template on the help desk. I replied at the help desk, but thought I'd reply here too just in case you missed it. If you want to create a new squad box first create a template page (in this case Template:Chamois Niortais FC squad). After you've created the template you can use the templates football squad2 start football squad2 player and football squad2 lastplayer to create your template. The documentation on how the use these is at Template talk:football squad2 start. I helped create these templates so if you've got any questions feel free to ask me. --Daduzi talk 07:12, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

When you're copying and pasting the data for squad templates, please remember to correct the category index. You had Southport's and Crawley Town's as Burnley. Thanks in advance. - Dudesleeper · Talk 18:14, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Slovenian Lineups

Simon, I noticed your updated squad lineup for FC Koper and wondered where you got the information. Would you be willing to contribute any more lineups for the Slovenian First Division clubs? If not, let me know where you are getting the lineups and I'll do it. Cheers! Jmcnally 04:11, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi mate. Do you have the squad list or any info about Vannes OC because I have started the article and included a link to Romain Jacuzzi but it needs a list. Also rememebr to categorize your players e.g Category:French footballers James Janderson 15:24, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New userboxes

Per the terms of the German userbox solution new userboxes should not be created in template space. Please read up on the current practices. That page has instructions on how to properly create userfied userboxes. --Cyde Weys 20:45, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your changes to Swansea City A.F.C.

You recently made a number of changes to players' nationalities on the Swansea City A.F.C. page. These were not correct: several of the players concerned are full internationals for their countries, and others are clearly stated in their own pages to have been born overseas.

Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to undertake. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. -- Stevecov 09:07, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Nelson FC.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Nelson FC.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. License tagging for Image:Retreatcover.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Retreatcover.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Mark Rasmussen

I have added a "prod" template to the article Mark Rasmussen, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Burnley F.C. results 2006-07, by PeeJay2K3, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Burnley F.C. results 2006-07 fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

Fixture and results lists are property of the Football League and, as such, to use them here is a breach of copyright. Furthermore, the page is largely redundant and hasn't been updated since November 2006.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Burnley F.C. results 2006-07, please affix the template hangon to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Burnley F.C. results 2006-07 itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 08:47, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Stade_Lavallois.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Stade_Lavallois.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigrTex 20:09, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edits To besart berisha

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Wikipedia. Please be careful when editing pages and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. You removed a reference as well as changing some stats, just wondering why. It doesn't seem like you to do that sorta thing, anyway i've reverted it for now --Childzy ¤ Talk 11:09, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey mate, is there any reason you keep changing berisha's stats? Well for now im gonna revert it because all sources state he scored 2 goals for his country. Please either respond to this message here, on my talk page or the talk page for Besart Berisha or your edit may be considered as vandalism, thanks --Childzy ¤ Talk 10:44, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:TwoMoreYears.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:TwoMoreYears.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:01, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:KaraokePlays.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:KaraokePlays.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:09, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
