Additionally, the Community Portal offers a more structured way to become acquainted with the many great committees and groups that focus on specific tasks. As a follow-up comment, it might be that your external links would be value-added to the encyclopedia. If you think that is the case, the suggested Wikipedia approach would be to add a comment to the appropriate Talk page and allow other editors to make the determination whether the link to your site should be included in the actual article.
