Brendan Wallace is an American entrepreneur and angel investor.[1][2] In September 2011, he co-founded Identified, a data and analytics company that uses an artificial intelligence technology known as SYMAN to filter Facebook data into professional insights.[3] He is also Identified’s co-CEO, a post he shares with Identified cofounder Adeyemi Ajao.[1][4][5]

Career

Born in New York City, NY, Wallace graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University in 2004 with a B.A. in political science and economics. Upon graduation he joined Goldman Sachs as an investment banker. Two years later, he moved to The Blackstone Group, working in real estate private equity.[1][2]

In 2008, Wallace began his postgraduate studies at Stanford University Graduate School of Business and received his MBA in 2010.[6] There he met and partnered with Ajao on a project that later became Identified.com.[7]

Identified uses proprietary artificial intelligence technology called SYMAN (Systematic Mass Normalization) to transform social data from Facebook and other social media sources into professional intelligence that can be used in recruiting, sales and marketing, and business intelligence.[7][3]

Wallace is an active angel investor, and he has invested in over 20 companies, including Bonobos, Cabify, and SmartAsset.[8]

Awards and Recognition

At Princeton, Wallace was a Phi Beta Kappa, and Princeton University’s political science department awarded him the John G. Buchanan Prize, its highest academic award.[6] The university president awarded him the Shapiro Prize for Academic Excellence.[6] He was also an Arbuckle Leadership Fellow while at Stanford.[6]
