Echopass is a privately held IP-based contact center provider for large enterprises.[2][3][4][5] Founded in 2000, the company is located in Pleasanton, California, and offers its services as Software as a Service (SaaS) to provide enhanced agility, flexibility, scalability, and speed to market.[2][3][4][5]

Company History

In 1998, Echopass began as an internal technology infrastructure for a public company in Salt Lake City, Utah.[6][7] In 2000, Echopass launched with startup funding from Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Canaan Partners and New Enterprise Associates.[8][6] The company’s headquarters are in Pleasanton, California and the company lists a Network Operations Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.[5][3][6] Datacenters are located in Salt Lake City, Ashburn, Virginia and Irvine, California.[6]

In 2003, Vincent Deschamps became the chairman and CEO of Echopass.[5][8][9][10] In 2008, Echopass’ business became profitable.[7][8] The company has employees located and working across North America to support its large base of existing accounts.[8]

The company’s current focus is on complex, large enterprise contact centers and counts many clients in the Fortune 500 as well as key service providers.[4][3][8] Echopass provides enhanced customer experiences for its clients as well as significant cost savings through a cloud deployment model. Recently Overstock.com, a five year Echopass client, cited Echopass as helping to provide above $26 million in cost savings.[2]

Echopass’ main competition is other telecom providers such as AT&T, Verizon, Cisco, Avaya and Interactive Intelligence.[8]

Services

Echopass offers numerous value-added benefits to its contact center service, including sophisticated and advanced interaction routing, agent performance optimization, speech enabled self service, mobile customer service, multi-channel and social media integration to improve the quality of customer service.[4][9][2][3] The company provides complete end-to-end service, including network carrier services, 24 x 7 monitoring and support, and guarantees industry leading service level agreements (SLA’s) to stand behind their services.[3][2][4]

Awards

Market analysis firm Frost & Sullivan named Echopass a share leader in North America.[4][2][3][8] In 2004, Red Herring listed Echopass on its list of Top 100 companies.[5]
