I aim to improve articles on and add photographs depicting:

• Wildfires and wildland firefighting, also forestry and fire ecology.
• Geographic and historical features in New Jersey
• State and federal parks in New Jersey and other nearby areas
• Various other topics as my interest waxes and wanes.

I make a lot of contributions to articles in a wide array of topics. But insofar as some areas where I contribute WP:COI might apply, I state clearly that I am a part-time wildland firefighter (one of a few jobs) who seeks to improve content on wildland firefighting and wildfire incidents as a small part of what I bring to Wikipedia. Why?—to improve information out there because it is both an interesting topic and one a lot of people do not understand (then get freaked out by the few raging infernos in the American West that do make the evening news).

I derive no benefit from my Wikipedia contributions except for the joy of writing, researching, and sharing knowledge with anyone that may be interested. If one person benefits from the articles I create or improve, I will enjoy knowing it. I'm a just-the-facts kind of guy, and I care about how information is made available—so anything I do write on the topic or in that area will be neutral, objective, reliably sourced, and factually accurate. I refuse to take anything remotely related to compensation for anything I write or may write. To date, no one has ever offered to compensate me.

However, if I have written about you, and we eventually meet, I will gladly accept a pint of ale if proffered.
