Seconding what ElHef said above. That IMDb list is just some random content created by a user called Samrudh_David. It is not content that IMDb has created or vetted. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:22, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The sources of the collections of 2.0 seem dubious

Please recheck the collections of 2.0 film. Neither source gives accurate figures. In fact one of them does not give an estimate at all.

Another source puts it at 655 crore

Okay, well, I tracked the 823.3 figure down to this edit by Sapian sam, who is now blocked for competency concerns, POV editing, etc. What I think happened, was that 2.0 was released globally, and grossed roughly 800 crore. However, it later released in China, so there should have been some extra income from that. I think Sapian sam was trying to include that, but was having trouble sourcing, so they opted for the poor reference Oracle Globe. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:18, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Highest Grossing Malayalam movies 1.Pulimurugan-153 crore(latest producers estimate). source: https://uk.blastingnews.com/entertainment/2017/02/puli-murugan-150-days-collections-total-worldwide-and-new-poster-details-001498655.html 2.Abrahaminte Santhathikal-80.20 core(unconfirmed estimate made on producers' Facebook post on its figures). source: https://www.filmymela.com/abrahaminte-santhathikal-box-office-collection/ 3.Kayamkulam Kochunni-76.82 core source:https://www.newscoopz.com/kayamkulam-kochunni-becomes-the-second-100-crore-club-movie-of-mollywood/

(The rest of the films in the highest grossing Malayalam films section on Wikipedia is correct but I just want to correct this because according to the kerala producers association they decided not to allow twitter accounts to ruin Malayalam movie images and box office reports and to only listen to the reports sent by the official producer. The websites and 'producers' on twitter claim to be trackers but are not as they have no solid source or claim and are leading away many people. On the other hand, other indian language trackers rely on the producers for their figures or just estimate based on latest figure released by producers and no. of rounded tickets sold in main multiplexes etc, and based on tax exemption of the year and hype figure and business divided by the revenue income. I hope In the future that proper south indian box office pages e.g. box office mojo type pages will emerge with source/reference and solid proof. I hope Wikipedia can help find trusted websites and ther figures and post the correct box office collections of indian films. If you want I can also help out with doing so.)

GiGiAccurate (talk) 10:57, 14 December 2019 (UTC) Sorry I also forgot that actually in my first post to mention Lucifer's gross- it is actually 200 crore according to many producer sources and estimates. But the thing is that other producers claim it only made around 135 crore but I believe it made 200 crore because of the giant amount of buzz and hype surrounding the film made on a budget of 60 crore and the amount of mony received by overseas producers. source:https://www.eastcoastdaily.in/2019/05/16/mohanlals-lucifer-crosses-200-crore-at-box-office.html(this source was regarding how the producers posted on Facebook and other social media platforms that Lucifer is the highest grossing Malayalam movie beating Pulimurugan and the first 200 crore Malayalam grosser in worldwide gross revenue terms).[reply]

Moving on, not a single one of the references you've submitted are sufficient for consideration. We don't care what blogs or other faceless random websites say or think. We only care what major mainstream sources say about a film's financials. The biggest problem we have at articles like these is with people who, for whatever reason, think they have a better comprehension about how much a film made than what the mainstream sources say. The bottom line is that there is no Truth with a capital-T when it comes to Indian film financials. The directors, distributors, studios, actors, often lie and inflate or deflate figures as suits their needs. Actors want to be the next 100 crore star, studios want to lure more people into theatres by enticing them to be part of the 200 crore spectacle! So it would be foolish to assume their claims as truth, and there is no central auditing system in place to suggest any sort of accuracy at all.
So the only thing we're left with are secondary sources who perform whatever estimations they perform, by whatever means they perform. Unsatisfactory? Maybe. But that's Indian film finances for you. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:25, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - @Guru ark: Why would we do that? None of those films were shot in Telugu. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:04, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

How about Saaho? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trueful (talk • contribs) 12:14, 26 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Can Someone explain why Bigil is mentioned above Kabali, the link(https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/tamil/movies/news/after-egypt-vijays-bigil-marks-an-entry-in-jordan/articleshow/71917663.cms) which is mentioned for source itself clearly mention that 270+ crores which means it should be below Kabali(Which has a similar collection). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trueful (talk • contribs) 12:20, 26 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
