What is the resistance to or problem with adding this film to this list? The total being cited by the people attempting add it, $377.9m USD, is not unsourced, except perhaps by the editor adding it: that number is available from the Wiki article on Slumdog Millionaire, and is correctly cited there from BoxOfficeMojo.com, which, given that it is a subsidiary of IMDB.com, I would say is incontrovertibly a reliable, third-party source, and this film clearly eclipses every other film currently on this list by a large margin.

The only thing I can figure is that it was apparently produced by a UK studio, in which case, I must ask, what is the definition being used here for "Indian films"? This is not specified in the article itself, and there is even another article specifically for a list of highest-grossing Bollywood films, which implies to me that this article is or should not be limited specifically to films made in India, and rather about films by or about India/Indian peoples. The movie takes place in India, was filmed in India with Indian actors, is based on a novel by an Indian author, and apparently nearly a third of its dialogue is in Hindi, which to my line of thinking makes this an unquestionably "Indian" movie, even if the studio that filmed it wasn't based in India, thus I see no good reason why it should not be added. :That is an example of irresponsible media speculation. Hindi population is 7 times larger than Tamil population. Anyway, Enthiran flopped miserably in Bollywood. Raanjhanaa was a much bigger success story there. The 179 crore figure is the global gross revenue from theatricals and rights. Dabangg and My Name Is Khan grossed more than Enthiran as they released in more screens and higher marketing buzz. Also, several Enthiran distributors claimed losses due to high pricing for Tamil version. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.193.39.208 (talk) 03:12, 3 October 2013 (UTC)

And talking about "Slumdog Millionaire" this is not at all included in Bollywood film. Its directer, producer, screen play, Editor, distributor all are of US and even the investment and taxation are in US dollar. So it is a Hollywood film.
About Rajnikant's Robot the link http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/8077844-enthiranrobot-collected-444-crore-worldwide is not giving the correct information. == Merge discussion ==
There are numerous different articles about one basic thing - revenues of Indian films. All this needs to be consolidated and properly defined, as the current maintenance of several such articles is a mess, an article maintenance problem, and there is bound to be plenty of contradictory details among them all. In the merged article, the top-grossing films would be centralised, ideally with separate columns for domestic and global returns. The "Hundred Crore Club" concept could be mentioned, as this seems to have sources, but it boils down to a list of top-grossing films. Furthermore, it might be appropriate and clearer to rename this article to List of highest-grossing Indian films. This multi-way merge will take some work, but is clearly justified in view of the current redundancies. Dl2000 (talk) 04:47, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

*Support: My suggestion is, the final version of merged article should contain only CBFC certified films. Not be biased an bollywood or kollywood or tollywood or any other, since it could raise some issues/disputes. I oppose for the concept of 'Hundred crore club', it seems additional glorification for the films more than the revenue mentioned. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ) 13:20, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
*Partial Support Well, it's a good idea to merge related articles into one and make it accessible to internet user in on go, however, Bollywood is the oldest among its local contemporaries with its own rights, figures, values and representation, therefore, I'm of the opinion as User:Jayadevp13 of representing just the films in List of highest-grossing Indian films but Bollywood figures. Bolly. figures should be represented in List of highest-grossing Bollywood films itself.
