In terms of a smokers experience, what is the difference between Indica and Sativa? I've read much about the differences in the plants themselves (shape of leaves, amount of buds, etc..). Looking at [https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:306087-2 Plants of the World Online] and [https://www.worldfloraonline.org/taxon/wfo-0000584001 World Flora Online] plus some papers on genetics it looks like this is not actually a species, it is a [[:cultivar]] that might be a [[:subspecies]] or botanical variety as it is listed at https://www.worldplants.de, but almost undoubtedly not a species. So I'm probably going to rework the page after some other cultivars like [[:red delicious]] and [[:broccoli]] with information about it previously being an accepted species since it is quite clearly notable enough to have an article. After smoking Sativa strains, many people get a "stoned" feeling, possiblly accompanied by paranoia around other people, followed by hunger and drowsiness. Indica, however, is known for a happy, alert, clean-feeling high in which many people feel more social than with Sativa. I must disagree with the above comments. The vast majority of experianced smokers would claim the exact opposite with the Sativa strains giving the up high experiance and Indicas the stoned effect |

As a cultivar[edit]
Looking at Plants of the World Online and World Flora Online plus some papers on genetics it looks like this is not actually a species, it is a cultivar that might be a subspecies or botanical variety as it is listed at https://www.worldplants.de, but almost undoubtedly not a species. So I'm probably going to rework the page after some other cultivars like red delicious and broccoli with information about it previously being an accepted species since it is quite clearly notable enough to have an article. 🌿MtBotany (talk) 19:23, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
