Jai ([[Fardeen Khan]]) is a photographer for a fashion magazine. In order to launch their magazine, his boss Wispy asks him to go to Goa and collect pictures of beautiful sceneries for their cover. While in Goa, he comes across a beautiful young woman, Ria Jaiswal ([[Urmila Matondkar]]) doing yoga on the beach and without her permission snaps some pictures of her and later displays them on their cover. The magazine becomes a huge hit because of those pictures. Wispy wants Ria to model for their magazine but she refuses because she is angry that Jai displayed her pictures without her permission. Somehow Jai manages to convince her to model for their magazine. The modelling starts and Ria begins to fall in love with Jai. Her father ([[Suresh Oberoi]]) who always wanted to get her married is really happy that her daughter is finally in love (he doesn't know its Jai). Ria, in order to talk to Jai about their marriage, goes to his house and gets a shocking surprise because Jai is already married to Geeta ([[Sonali Kulkarni]]). Being a stubborn daughter and always having her way, she couldn't believe the fact that the guy she loved was already someone else's. From that point on, she started being a problem between both Jai and Geeta, resulting in a minor accident involving Geeta. Finally Jai decides to leave the city so that both Geeta and he could lead a peaceful life. But Ria realizes this and asks him to meet her one last time before he leaves. He agrees but decides to go to her house instead and talk to her father about her. Ria, on the other hand, decides to goes to Jai's house to kill Geeta. When Jai reaches Ria's place, he discovers that Mr. Jaiswal is not home and decides to wait for him. While waiting he calls Geeta and through the phone he hears Geeta shouting. Immediately he rushes home only to find a bloody Geeta under Ria and Ria starting to finish her off once and for all. Just so that Geeta shouldn't be hurt, he lies to Ria that he is ready to divorce his wife and start a new life with her and that he really loved her all this time, only he didn't realize it. Ria believes him and comes to him and Jai smacks her hard. She falls to the floor bleeding through her mouth. Her dad reaches the situation and after clearing all misunderstandings, takes Ria home. Six months later, Geeta and Jai are very happy with their life (they didn't leave the city) because Ria is no more a part of their life. Ria becomes an inhabitant of a mental hospital.{{fact}}
