"My Blind Date" is the 12th episode of the American sitcom Scrubs. It originally aired as Episode 12 of Season 1 on January 8, 2002.

Plot
J.D. must look after a social worker, Alex Hanson, who slipped and fell in the hospital and winds up stuck in an MRI machine. Afraid she might sue the hospital, Dr. Kelso wants him to stand by her and be friendly. They flirt, but J.D. is reluctant to ask her out without knowing what she looks like.

Elliot tries to gain Dr. Cox's favor the way J.D. has when he is going for a "perfect game", a 24-hour period where none of his 27 ICU patients die (Pitching a "perfect game" in baseball requires retiring all 27 opposing batters). Meanwhile, Turk snaps at Carla when she steals fries from his plate. They realize they are experiencing some relationship problems, and Carla expects Turk to end their relationship, but in the end he tells her that he loves her.

Plot development
* Turk and Carla first express their love for each other in this episode. This will be a problem for their lovelife in the episode My Balancing Act, but lead to a long-term relationship in the seasons to come.

Errors
* When JD and Alex are holding hands and she is feeling for a wedding ring she is feeling the right hand, not the left.
* J.D. displays knowledge of baseball in this episode, but in later episodes, is known for not knowing anything about sports.

Featured music
* "Easy Tonight" by Five for Fighting
* "New Slang" by The Shins
