Ian Coldwater is a computer security professional and speaker[1][2] specializing in breaking and hardening Kubernetes containers and cloud native security.

They are the current co-chair of Kubernetes SIG Security[3] and previously were lead platform security engineer at Heroku.[4]

They received the 2020 award from the Cloud Native Computing Foundation for top ambassador for spreading interest in the area[5] and are a supporter of the Electronic Frontier Foundation.[6][7]

They are active on social media discussing Kubernetes as well as other topics.[5][8][9]
