Ghetto D is the highest first week selling album by rapper Master P to date. It went 5x platinum. [1] It topped at number-one on the charts selling nearly 260,000[2] copies in its debuting week. The album went on to sell over 3,000,000 copies worldwide to 2007. It was extremely successful spending a total of 66 weeks on chart and then making a re-entry (with missing only one week) for another 13 weeks for an accumulated 80 weeks of constant selling.
It's original album cover was pulled from the shelves deemed inappropriate. It depicted a crack addict sitting on the curb smoking from a glass pipe. It was promptly replaced by the collage style cover.
