Forest City Lovers are a Canadian indie pop band. Based in Toronto, the band consists of vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Kat Burns, violinist Mika Posen, bassist Kyle Donnelly and percussionist Steve Lappano.[1] Donnelly is also a member of The D'Urbervilles.
Formed by Burns shortly after the release of her independent solo EP For the Birds in 2005[2], the band released its debut album, The Sun and the Wind, independently in 2006. The single "Castles" was playlisted on CBC Radio 3. In 2007, the band contributed a track, "Don't Go, Please", to the charity compilation Friends in Bellwoods.
The band's second album, Haunting Moon Sinking was released in 2008 on Out of this Spark.
