Ewing High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school that serves over 1,200 students in ninth through twelfth grades from Ewing Township, in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States, as part of the Ewing Public Schools.
Curriculum
Academically, Ewing High School operates on an intensive block schedule, which allows students the opportunity to take eight courses (40 credits) a year, four classes during each semester. Each instructional block is 87 minutes, with an average teacher-student ratio of 1:13. Included in the 140 credit requirement are four courses in English, three in Social Studies, three in Math, four in Science, and one in French, Spanish or Italian, all offered on four ability levels. The school offered over 225 courses during the 2006-07 school year, including a new Computer Science course sequence.
The school's Senior Experience program allows students the option of being dually enrolled at local colleges and universities, completing an internship at a local business, school, or government organization, or participating in a supervised work experience during their senior year. Each year several students are selected to attend the Princeton University Preparatory Program and the Sarnoff Corporation’s Dixon Mentoring in Engineering Program.

Extracurricular activities
Ewing High School offers a diverse set of extra- and co-curricular activities. Over 30 academic, dramatic, and performing arts groups, student government, community service groups, and other clubs expand the spectrum of experiences offered to our students.
Clubs offered include Anime Club, Athletic Club, Cheerleaders, Coffee for the Soul, Debate Team, EITC, Environmental Club, Forza Ewing, French Club, Frescoes, Handbell Choir, Key Club, Marching Band, Concert Band, Orchestra, Jazz Band, Mastersingers, Math Club, National Honor Society, Newspaper, Odyssey of the Mind, REBEL, Renaissance, a FIRST Robotics team, Rotary Internet Club, SADD, School Show, Sign Language Club, Spanish Club, Spring Musical, Step Team, Student Government and Yearbook.
Athletics
Interscholastic athletics, represented by 19 different sports available at a variety of levels (freshman, junior varsity, and varsity), perform competitively within the Colonial Valley Conference’s Patriot Division.
The Ewing High School Blue Devils compete in the Colonial Valley Conference, which consists of public and private high schools located in Mercer County, Monmouth County and Middlesex County, New Jersey, under the supervision of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA).

The boys basketball team won the 2007 Central, Group II state championship, topping Somerville High School 57-43.[1] The team won Central, Group III in 2000, with a 38-35 win over Wall High School.[2] The boys basketball team won New Jersey State Group III championships in 1986 and 1991 under coach Emil Wandishin. The girls basketball team won the 2005 New Jersey State Group III championship under coach Shelley Dearden.
The football team won the 2002 Central, Group III championship with a 24-0 victory against Middletown High School South Also the 2006 team won their patriot division over Allentown High School.[3]
The Men's track team has enjoyed the most success in recent years. In 2003, it produced 4 All-Americans in Basil Campbell, Adian Sanderson, Steven St.Juste, and Frank Aba-Onu. In the the span of 5 seasons (1999-2003), they won 4 Mercer County Titles, 3 Central Jersey Group III Titles, and 1 State Title.
Notable alumni
- Mike Aponte - valedictorian of Ewing High School in 1988 and a key cog of the infamous MIT card- counting sharks.[4]
- Hollis Copeland former basketball player with the New York Knicks.[5]
- Keyz (Odeani McBean), a hip hop artist/rapper. Odeani attended Ewing High School for half of high school and transferred to Hopewell Valley Central High School during his junior year.[6]
