Canon David Morris is the Church in Wales assistant bishop elect for the see of Bangor. He is also a Commander of the Order of St John (St John's Ambulance) where he acts as a chaplain. He was appointed Dean of the Priory for Wales in 2019 and is a Church in Wales Trustee. Archbishop of Wales, Andy John, announced his appointment on 19 January 2024.
He graduated in theology from the University of Wales, Bangor and trained for ministry at St Michael’s College, Llandaff. He was ordained as a priest in 2010.
He was born in Cymmer, Rhondda in 1987. At the age of 37 he becomes the youngest ever Anglican bishop in the Church in Wales.[1]
