Cosco (India) Limited is an Indian manufacturer of sporting equipment for Basketballs , Bats , for producing Badminton Racquets , Tennis ball , health and fitness equipments and other sports accessories. [6]
History
The company incorporated or came into existence on 25th January 1980 under The Companies Act 1956. The company is a subsidiary of Enkay Rubber Group Of Industries , which is also engaged in producing sports products for a number of years .
It was a private company until 15th March 1994 after which the company was transformed into a public company. After incorporation of the company it took over the partnership Firm Coronation Sportingball Co., which started its business in 1976 and was engaged in the production of Sporting Balls. The company's shares are issued in India's Stock Exchange. The company has said that "It produces world class champion balls for the renowned world brand leaders". [7]
The company is also associated with The World Federation Of The Sporting Good Industry , The Sport Goods Export Promotion Council and With The Sports Goods Foundation Of India.[8]
