Analog Pussy ( in Hebrew: אנאלוג פוסי ) is a psychedelic trance group that originated in Isreal, and is now located in Germany.[1] The group is consisted of two members, Kim "Jiga" Michael Lilach, and Jinno Erez.

History

Jinga was born in Jerusalem. At the age of 15, she learned how to play a bass guitar, and soon started off her career on the Israeli punk scene[2]. Jinno was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and moved to Israel in his early childhood. In his teens he experimented with electronic music when he connected several synthesizers together, and at the same time played around with a drum machine; making melodic sounds that he enjoyed. The two met when Jinga broke away from the punk/metal genre and started to experiment with synthesizers, and in 1997, formed Analog Pussy.

Career

Jinno built a studio in his parents’ storage room, where he and Jiga started to produce their first tracks. They made their music available for free on the internet, and gained a huge fan-base. Later on, when they headlined the charts on MP3.com, their music was downloaded over one million times. [3]

In 1999, coming back from their first European tour, they signed with a German label and released their first album, "Psycho Bitch From Hell". The duo never hired a manager and took care of the bands business operations themselves, spending all the money they earned on building their studio. In 2002 they relocated to Germany and started their own record label "AP Records", whose first release was their second album, "Underground". In mid 2004 they released their third album "Trance 'N Roll". The album is the closest yet to a live Analog Pussy show. The songs feature live instruments, hard rock guitar riffs and vocals. [4]
