Alex Heartman (born February 24, 1990 in Sacramento, California) is an American actor best known for playing Jayden, the Red Ranger, in the latest Power Rangers incarnation, Power Rangers Samurai. He also portrayed the assassin in the web series Warrior Showdown and won the tournament.

Career

He appears as the Red Ranger Jayden in Power Rangers Samurai; the character serves as the cold and serious leader of the Rangers, first appearing in the episode "The Team Unites".

In early 2011, Heartman appeared as a guest alongside his co-stars at the Kids Choice Awards. He also participated in a panel moderated by veteran Power Rangers actor Paul Schrier at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con International.

For his role in Power Rangers Samurai, he was nominated for Favorite Actor at the 2012 Kids' Choice Awards. On Nickelodeon's new game show Figure it Out in 2012 he was one of the celebrity panelists.

Heartman appears in the Karate Kid stylized video for the The Temper Trap's single Need Your Love, released April, 2012.[1][2]
