Anton Stander (June l6, 1867 – April 2, 1952), was a pioneer and the prospector from the great Klondike Gold Rush. He was one of the six wealthiest prospectors in Klondike.
He came to U.S. 1887 and arrived in Alaska 1896.
His wife Violet estimated they carried a half million dollars out of the mines.[1]
From 1900 to 1906 he was the owner of the Seattle's Stander's Hotel.
Some says that he died in Pioneers' Home at Sitka, Alaska,[2] some that he died in Multnomah, Oregon[3]
