I've been an editor for a while now and I would like to participate more in the community. I believe that if I am given more responsibility I will be able to help out more. I have a good understanding of wikipedia guidelines and am constantly learning more DaltonCastle (talk) 21:39, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have been an editor for a while. Now I would like to participate more in the community. I believe that if I am given more responsibility I will be able to helpout more. Hello BarketAli, I am a Junior Wrangler at the WP:TEAHOUSE and I have a question for you. Given that the vast majority of your edits to the encyclopedia (what we call the mainspace) have been to one stub article Iskander Pora, could you say how you plan to use the reviewer right in your editing? Also, what do you believe the right allows you to do? --Demiurge1000 (talk) 06:15, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. Not sure I see the point of the question above as there is simply no way for a user with only 17 edits to be granted any advanced permissions. You need an established track record of editing, and of removing vandalism, in order to be seriously considered. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:36, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
ok, it seems this user was renamed while this request was pending and that they do have a little more than 17 edits, but the rest of my remarks still stand, track record is too brief. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:40, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

User:Damián80

Hello, I would like to have this flags, because I have been creating multiple items from soap operas, such as Televisa, which are quite telenovelas, in order to save the job to others. Damián (talk) 22:42, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) @Damián80: I'm not sure you understand what this permission is. Reviewer allows you to accept good-faith edits by others on articles with pending changes protection. What it sounds like you're thinking of is autopatrolled. Autopatrolled is what marks your pages as patrolled, to save the job of others.—LucasThoms 22:49, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
So I think I have the wrong place, where I should ask this?.--Damián (talk) 22:52, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not done – I take note that you've withdrawn your request for Reviewer. You've already applied for the correct flag at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Autopatrolled. EdJohnston (talk) 04:19, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

User:Esmost

I would like to accept/reject pending edits. Esmost (talk) 06:20, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
information Administrator note I wil leave this open for others to review, but I would note the following [1], which is a recently declined request in which I explained what this tool is for and specified that an actual need for the tool should be demonstrated by reverting some vandalism and submitting some reports at WP:AIV. I see no evidence any of that has transpired in the intervening two weeks or so. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:54, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not done – Per Beeblebrox. Esmost, your edits are useful but they aren't enough to show us that you clearly understand vandalism. The job of a Reviewer is really to be able to distinguish vandal edits from non-vandal edits on a page that is under PC protection, so you can approve the non-vandal edits. You are welcome to re-apply for Reviewer permission after you've done a reasonable number of vandal reverts and preferably some reports to WP:AIV as well. User:Param Mudgal

I have been associated with wikipedia now for a while and i want to give my fullest contributions by becoming a reviewer. As a reviewer my primary aim would be to remove vandalism from wikipedia and maintain the quality of the articles. Please give me a chance to prove myself. Thanks Param Mudgal (talk) 11:18, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) Question for you! If you saw a pending revision with essentially unsourced statements similar to "Today cosco india limited has proved itself trustworthy in the Market ... It has managed to retain its place in the market for producing good quality sports materials"[2], along with a couple more positive statements sourced only to the company's own website, how would you deal with those pending revisions? --Demiurge1000 (talk) 20:14, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I respect your observation but , you mean to say that on the basis of these two lines which are not unsourced and whose other sources can also be found easily. I should not be given the permissions of a Reviewer. Why dont you see those so many things which i have done to fight vandalism on wikipedia?.Now, my answer to your question, if i see any unsourced statement and false statement regarding anything, i will first check and confirm that it is true or not and whether other reliable links could be added in support of those lines and then also if i don't get anything then i will revert those changes.--Param Mudgal (talk) 04:53, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) Additional unsourced addition [3]. I would also appreciate if they could comment on this edit. Overall, I feel this user is not currently ready to get the reviewer bit. --Mdann52talk to me! 10:00, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have said what i wanted to say. The decision lies on to the administrators. If they feel that i can handle the responsibility of reviewer on the best of my effort than i would be approved or i will accept my rejection as a winner and work for wikipedia with all my focus and effort and help fight vandalism like before.--Param Mudgal (talk) 10:53, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. I had a look at your project space edits. You requested Reviewer previously in December of last year. A few days later you made one report to WP:AIV. Then a few other unrelated edits, then nothing until this request. One AIV report in eight months is not idicative of a user who is actively engaged in removing vandalism and reporting vandals to admins. The idea here is that this is a tool to help people who would actually use it. If you do some more vandal-fighting and file some more valid AIV reports your next requerst will have a much better chance of success. (I would add in response to the above discussion that this tool is for dealing with vandalism only, not POV or sourcing issues, so that discussion did not inform or influence my decision at all.) I have nearly 15,000 Main edits, and have had rollback rights for two years now. Much of my edits are fixing or reverting vandalism, and the like. I am well-familiar with all relevant policies. Musdan77 (talk) 02:44, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have been on wikipedia for a while with making good edits, detecting/deleting vandalism and reporting vandals to AIV. Giving this feature i could quickly accept good edits to "pending changes" articles. Kante4 (talk) 19:03, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have been on wikipedia for a while with making good edits, and creating new articles. I know the buzz of getting a good review and I'd like to pass that on (where approriate). Bogger (talk) 14:41, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Comment:I'm not sure you know what the reviewer user right does. It allows you to review pending changes, not review Articles for Creation or anything else. (Non-administrator comment) Cheers and Thanks, L235-Talk Ping when replying 15:20, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. You have been on Wikipedia for a while, and you do seem to make good edits. However, this tool is for reviewing other user's edits on articles subject to pending changes protection, it has nothing to do with "the buzz of a good review". So, not going to grant the right as you don't seem to know what you are asking for, but the good news is that you apparently don't need it anyway. Beeblebrox (talk) 16:57, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
