I've been getting more and more involved in Wikipedia and believe myself to have a solid understanding of rules and policies. David Condrey (talk) 01:59, 25 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done 73.5% of your edits are automated or script assisted, or 1,357 of 1,847, most being a cleanup tool. Searching your edit summaries, I find two mentions of vandalism in all your edits. You do not demonstrate the need or the understanding of the policies surrounding rollback. Please be active in anti-vandal reverting and reapply when you get the hang of things. -- DQ (ʞlɐʇ) 02:22, 26 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that my record as a thoughtful contributor to both article edits and policy discussions demonstrates that I have a solid understanding of proper editing standards and guidelines for the English Wikipedia. I have used the "rollback" feature of Twinkle many times to revert vandalism. An examination of my contribution history will reveal that I almost always attach detailed summaries to my edits, which shows that I am conscientious about what I'm doing and recognize the importance of documenting what I've done and why I've done it. This is why I believe you can be confident that I will use the Rollback permission with both diligence and care. (Please note that I presently have a pending request for the Reviewer permission as well.) — Jaydiem (talk) 13:26, 25 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not done While you are reverting things, rollback applies to blatant vandalism. You do a fair amount of good faith reverting. I'm concerned that those good faith reverts will be hit now by the rollback button. I don't see enough reversion of blatant vandalism to grant the tools here. Please immerse yourself in anti-vandal work and familiarize yourself with WP:ROLLBACK and it's uses, and down the road I have no objection to a new request. -- DQ (ʞlɐʇ) 02:36, 26 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am very involved with fighting vandalism and reporting users to admins, therefore I believe this will help me and let me do it faster. I am very active in patrolling the recent changes and new pages. Thanks! Bobherry talk 00:50, 26 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You have 8 edits in the mainspace since the beginning of the year (but more beyond that), I wouldn't consider that active in vandalism fighting though. I see your issuing a fair amount of 4im notices and reports to AIV. Your reverts, warning and reports are legitimate from the brief scan I did. For this reason I am on the fence. I'm going to  Grant rollback for a 7 day period. I would like you to demonstrate that my faith is well founded and see active vandalism reverting. After the 7 days, I will review your contributions, and proceed from there. Any admin seeing issues can revoke it before the 7 day period. -- DQ (ʞlɐʇ) 02:54, 26 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am requesting the rollback right to aid in more quickly reverting instances of blatant vandalism and warning the perpetrators. I also intend to use Huggle in order to make this process faster and easier to do. At the moment, I am using RTRC and Twinkle to patrol recent changes; while certainly effective enough, the addition of rollback rights and use of Huggle would allow me to be more efficient at it. As for my qualifications to use rollback responsibly, I have been active in the CVU since I joined Wikipedia. In addition, I have been recently active in anti-vandalism work (see recent contribs), as well as active in anti-vandalism work in the past. I also have ~1,300 edits, of which I believe around 500 are mainspace. If the aforementioned is insufficient for rollback rights, please let me know what I need to accomplish before re-applying. Thank you for considering this request. BloodDoll (talk) 00:01, 27 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Adding Reviewer as well, long term user with good record. — xaosflux Talk 00:14, 27 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for requesting rollback Matheweditking (talk) 09:29, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • I am very competent. I pride myself on catching acts of vandalism.

Matheweditking (talk) 09:29, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done With less than 40 edits to your name, we have no way of judging your competence. Please reapply when you have a couple of hundred edits and a substantial amount of anti-vandalism work under your belt. Yunshui  09:33, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
