Applicants should show some evidence that they generally meet the guidelines outlined there, however administrators may use their discretion in determining which editors meet the general standard. I occasionally edit, create and maintain various templates. Having to edit several protected templates such as English settlements/regions (the work I usually do) rather than ask a sysop will be very helpful! ☠ Jaguar ☠ 21:37, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Jaguar: I've had a look through your template contributions, but I can't find anything that would satisfy points five and six of the granting guidelines. Sorry for not coming to this in time as I've been busy outside Wikipedia. I was going to withdraw my request as I didn't know I had to make at least five requested edits to protected templates - I've made a couple in the past but I didn't know it had to be five?
