- I'm going to be helping to run Wikipedia:GLAM/McGill on February 26 and we are having a mini practice session on Thursday from noon to 1pm. I would like to be able to create accounts during those two times. Viola-Ness (talk) 15:59, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
- Admin comment Sorry but I don't think you have enough experience with Wikipedia's policies (primarily the username policy) and practices for me to grant a right allowing you to amongst other things not be subject to rate limits and can override the title blacklist. However, if you can guarantee that:
- You have read the username policy and know which usernames you can create and which you can't; and
- Guarantee that you will not use the right to override the blacklist or spoofing check when creating accounts (that is not select those check boxes when creating an account).
- Any username which you aren't sure of or for which you'll need to override the blacklist or spoofing check you will redirect the ask the person to make a request to WP:ACC. Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 12:27, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- I've made a note of both of these conditions and reviewed the username policy. I can guarantee that I'll review each username and not override the blacklist or spoofing check. We are encouraging all participants to register a name in advance so we can try to avoid having to create accounts. thank you. Viola-Ness (talk) 15:28, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
