Rollback

User:GingerGeek

I know I don't have a massive edit count, but I would like to use Huggle for helping me revert vandalism, I have started using Huggle on Simple wiki and I have found it much easier using Huggle than TW, I am also on several Wikipedia IRC channels, but I haven't got a affiliated cloak yet due to edit count. I understand I am unlikely to gain this permission but I thought I might as well ask, whatever the outcome I will still revert vandalism using TW, but it may seem I move over to Simple Wiki, this is only because I like Huggle better and I can deal with higher volumes better. Thank you for your time, GingerGeek (talk) 10:14, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. No, you really don't have enough edits on Wikipedia to request this right yet. While you may have experience on other Wikis (and it's a good place to learn), what you do there is not of direct concern for us here and we need something tangible to asses you work by. I have a large edit count and am experienced in removing vandalism. I am familiar with Wikipedia's polices regarding such matters. I am very active in the review of new pages. FalkirksTalk 17:22, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. You actually have a very low edit count and none of them, as far as I can see, are vandalism reverts. You've also only been effectively editing here for less than two week. Please accumulate some experience. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 20:36, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I do have over 300 main space edits but I did accumulate them over the past two weeks which I see could be a problem. I have been helping remove vandalism but I suppose I will wait a while longer till I request this again. Thanks for responding quickly. FalkirksTalk 23:51, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have some experience fighting vandalism. I am dutiful about posting warnings and welcomes and try not to be douchey about things. I recently was doing some vandalism patrolling and came across an article (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies), where it would have been helpful to have been able to just rollback all three of the edits and once instead of having to manually restore the prior version. Thanks for your consideration! I'm sorry about my incorrect prior post and hope it was correct to re-post. I'm not sure what I did wrong; maybe it's because I tried to link the history page of my recent contribution. AgnosticAphid talk 17:40, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. You only have 272 edits to mainspace and very few of them are reverts and are hence insufficient to gauge how you would use the tool. PLease rack up a couple of hundred perfect vandalism reverts and apply again. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 20:30, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I was told that I should request Rollback rights, and that it would be good for me. And also, I know when, and when not to use rollback. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them. Scientific Alan 2(Click here to talk)(What have I done?)(Me) 18:24, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) I noticed him earlier when he was undoing some vandalism. I think he'll make good use of Rollback. Command and Conquer Expert! speak to me...review me... 18:33, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. With only 80 edits to mainspace, please rack up a couple of hundred perfect vandalism revers and then apply again. Thanks. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 20:24, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have been a registered user for nearly 5 years (I joined on July 11, 2008). Normally I work with WikiProject Tropical cyclones and often revert or manually fix vandalism on several of the pages. Vandalism is a big problem for some of the articles in our project, especially with the more famous storms like Hurricane Andrew and Hurricane Sandy. If given permission to rollback, I will continue my efforts to fight vandalism on not just pages associated wit WikiProject Tropical cyclones, but anywhere I may encounter it. Also, I should not neglect to mention that I have racked up over 18,000 edits and have gotten over 50 articles to GA. 12george1 (talk) 03:43, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment)I think you look good for rollback! 18,000 edits is awesome! --PrabashWhat? 20:04, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am requesting rollback to help fight vandalism. I have access to STiki and have used it over 650 times without objections. I have 467 edits on article namespace. Surfer43 (talk) 03:15, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
