I am attempting to update the out of date biographies of filmmakers I have worked for.

You have made a couple of helpful edits. Surely we have not protected all of the articles (not necessarily biographies) that you are looking to edit? Beware of WP:COI as you edit, and make sure that you use reliable sources and not original research - especially on articles about living people. I made a mistake on my first edit and I can't fix it because the article (The Rev) is now semi-protected Voltastro (talk) 18:27, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am David Sparrow (www.davesparrow.com) and I'm trying to upload my picture to my wikipedia page. It seems very complicated. There are many pictures of me online, including IMDB and on my own site.File:Dave Sparrow.jpg Actdaveor (talk) 00:17, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for requesting confirmed rights Raramount (talk) 05:03, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am requesting permission for confirmed rights in order to make minor adjustments concerning the "BC/AD" to "BCE/CE" situation in Wikipedia articles. I believe Wikipedia should not be focused on one religion (primarily Christianity, since "BC" and "AD" is mainly used by the Christian faith) rather than a neutral, and open minded community. In addition, I am a sixty-one year old with much experience and knowledge that I will offer to articles I come along. My intentions are good, and I am hoping my request for permission will be accepted by the administrators at Wikipedia. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raramount (talk • contribs)

  •  Not done Those types of changes would violate WP:CONSENSUS, and I believe the manual of style when it comes to their usage. This is a perennial discussion. Your wisest move would be to try and obtain new consensus on the talkpage of the article. Make sure you have read the manual of style, the 5 pillars and other core policies. •  Not done The type of image you wish to upload must allow free usage according to our policies. Please upload your image to our free-usage repository, Commons, so that it can be used across all WikiProjects and languages. Make sure you choose a unique name for your file, and you will be able to access the image at English Wikipedia in the same way you would be able to access it if you uploaded it here. •  Not done Yes, you're right. This is why we rely on editors such as yourself. Over 95% of Wikpedia articles are available to be edited by you right now ... only a handful are not, usually due to them being biographies of visible people, or are subjects under significant discussion. Please ensure you read WP:5P, and help yourself to assisting this project (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 12:52, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
